Presence of characteristic urate crystals in the joint fluid, or<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">B. Presence of a tophus proven to contain urate crystals by chemical means or polarized light microscopy, or<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\">C.
