Diagnostic Criteria for Acute Pharyngitis

- History of rheumatic fever or

Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) is a frequent complication in cirrhotic patients with ascites. Diagnosis of SBP is established by a polymorphonuclear cell count in ascitic fluid > or =250 cells/mm(3).
Diagnostic Criteria for Acute Pericarditis
Diagnostic criteria include the following:
- pericarditic typical chest pain,
- pericardial friction rubs,
- widespread ST segment elevation or PR depressions not previously reported, and
- new or worsening pericardial effusion.

Definite PND
- Classic syndrome with cancer diagnosed within 5 years of neurological symptom development
- Nonclassic syndrome that resolves or significantly improves after cancer treatment
- Nonclassic syndrome with cancer diagnosed within 5 years of neurological symptom development and positive antineuronal antibodies
- Neurological syndrome (classic or not) without cancer and with well-characterized antineuronal antibodies
